The Plantronics H101-CIS Cisco phone headset is specifically made for Cisco IP phones 7940, 7960, 7970 and others with a headset port when using a power cube.  The H101-CIS is specially shielded to eliminate interference that is caused by the close proximity of the power cube.  Is your environment noisy or disruptive, or is you’re hearing slightly impaired?  Plantronics has designed a deluxe, high-tech headset with you in mind.  The Encore H101-CIS is a top of the line headset, covering both ears and providing a stereo like experience for your phone conversations.  Having sound in both ears increases clarity and comprehension even in noisy environments.  The Encore H101-CIS comes equipped with “SoundGuard Plus” and “Call Clarity” technologies guaranteeing superb sound quality.  Gone are the days when wearing a binaural headset required individual cables that came down from each ear, joining together under your chin.  Plantronics eliminated the y-cable (or yoke) on the H101-CIS by running a single cord inside the top of the headset to the opposite ear. Another feature, only available with the Encore series, is the SES tone control switch located behind each ear pad of the H101-CIS.  The SES switch provides the ability to adjust the base or treble on your headset, like you adjust your stereo.
